FREE MOTORCYCLE!!! 1983 Yamaha XJ900 SECA
Well, the Universe must have decided twas time to ride again! Hell, I guess it was the Universe that told me to take a break after the last spill… lol.
Last week some good folk gave me this FREE MOTORCYCLE! And by good folk I mean the Newman’s! My Sis’ in-laws are moving and ever since Dan upgraded to a Harley Fat Boy, this has been garage sit-in for 5 years… It doesn’t currently run, but hopefully soon will! Just in time for Spring! I haven’t had a bike since the last spill in 2017. Had plans to build a Harley chopper, but parted with the frame a few months back… ya know how that goes. But Hey, now I got something to tinker with and see what happens. Don’t worry, I’m still a Harley-Davidson guy, just on a Yamaha… Bahahaha. Plans for the Chopper haven’t faded. But there’s a few cool ideas i’ve got in mind for this lil number. I think I may paint it back to one of the original color schemes from that year… or some version there of. Anywho, once fired up, she’ll get plenty of love and attention. I decided to take a few ”before” pics… Stay tuned for progress pics. Any suggestions or advice are welcome. I mean on the bike not the pics. lol
